Gabrielle M. Schroeder

I am a research software engineer from Newcastle upon Tyne with a passion for data analysis and visual design.

My interest in data analysis was sparked by working with genetics data as a biologist. In 2014, a Fulbright Postgraduate Award gave me the opportunity to transition to computational neuroscience. I now use my computational skills to develop data science and software solutions for a variety of research projects at Newcastle University.

I have a special interest in data visualisation, and I enjoy finding creative ways to tell stories or developing custom ways to explore complex data. More recently, I’ve learned user interface and user experience design to develop applications for analysing and visualising data.
