Gabrielle M. Schroeder

I am a research software engineer from Newcastle upon Tyne with a passion for uncovering and communicating insights from data.

My interest in data analysis was sparked by working with genetics data as an experimental biologist. In 2014, a Fulbright Postgraduate Award gave me the opportunity to transition to computational neuroscience, which included learning data science and programming. I now use those skills to develop data science and software solutions for a variety of research projects at Newcastle University.

I particularly enjoy data visualisation, especially when it involves finding creative ways to tell stories or developing custom ways to explore complex data.
